The NewTales of the Pearl River Delta

nce upon a time, three kids and one adult took a flight from Hong Kong and travelled to the
Shenzhen Baiyan Airport in Pearl River Delta.The youngest one was calledWendy Leung, the
middle one was Tom Pan and the eldest one was Peter Gates.The adult was Clement Lee.
When they were in the airport, someone did something bad and made Shenzhen very dirty.When
they left, they saw smoke coming from the top of the factory chimneys and a lot of rubbish in the river and
the sea.They coughed a LOT.They wanted to be in their hotel right away and they discussed how to help
Pearl River Delta to become a better place.
“Let’s write a letter to the government to close down some of the factories”, said Peter Gates, the
genius.“We can get some tape and a ladder to go up to the factories’ top and put tape on the chimneys so
there will be no more smoke”, said creative Tom Pan.“Do you remember Mr.Water, the super hero who can
now turn dirty water into clean water?” Clement asked.“Yes!!”“Where is he now?” the kids wondered.“Let’s
go to the Shenzhen Metro to find him.”
They started from Airport East Station and travelled to TaoYuan Station.They thought Mr.Water
was there.The kids asked,“Mr.Water, where are you?”“I am at theWindow of theWorld Station”, a voice
answered.The kids followed the voice to that place.
At theWindow of theWorld Station, they saw a super hero who wore stinky underpants.The kids
asked the super hero,“are you Mr.Water?”“NO!” shouted the super hero.“I know where Mr.Water is. He is
in Buji Station.”“Thank you!” screamed the kids and off they went.
After 46 minutes, they were at Buji Station.“Where are you, Mr.Water?”The voice answered again,
“Come to Changlong Station to find me.”“Is it real? I am so tired!”Tom Pan said.“There is a zoo at
Changlong. It will be a lot of fun, let’s go!” Peter Gates said.
At Changlong Station, they tried to find Mr.Water but they could not find him.They saw a white
tiger and asked “Do you know where Mr.Water is?”The tiger answered “Yes! He is waiting for you. Follow
me!”The tiger brought them to Mr.Water.
“Why did you go very far from each station when we were there?”The kids asked.“This is a
challenge!” Mr.Water exclaimed.
Mr.Water then cast a spell and the water became clean.The challenge was met.The place was clean
and beautiful again.
