Fiction: Group 2
“Slitherer, it is an honour to meet you,”
“SlithererER. You forgot two letters,” The osprey blinked again. He hadn’t learned about letters. The toad
spoke.
“I am Croak the toad,” he said interrupting the conversation. “Is anything wrong?”
Ripper asked how he knew, but all the toad said was, “I just know”
Ripper blurted out everything. The two other creatures were stunned. The cobra’s head lit up. He had an
idea. Ripper immediately flew away, saying goodbye. He flew towards Lake Ekal. He landed on the dirt
spotting another cobra. This one only spoke Sssss.
“Sseksetstshhaasasasssssh!” So Ripper signed. Claw taught him that.
“Can I borrow a fish?” he signed. The clever doctor told him that the paralysis antidote was a fish dipped in
king cobra venom. The doctor was a Chinese cobra. This one was a king. The snake let him take a fish and
venom. He thanked the snake, slapping the fish on his tail. It worked perfectly. Ripper had completed half
of his mission. He was ready for the next part.
Over the ICC, a little prisoner was trying to yell for help. He couldn’t though. He was paralyzed. The
robbers celebrated. Their names were, Koorc, Feiht and Tidnab. They looked up.
“What’s that?”Koorc wondered. It was an osprey holding a trout in one claw. It dived down, making the
tooting call of ospreys.
“Aaagh!” Feiht screamed. Tidnab kicked him and grabbed a knife. The wind whistled as Ripper stop dived
towards his only friend and tossed the fish on his back. The brave bird had grown and knew how to handle
this situation. He grabbed the three bullies and dived. He launched them on top of a police car with a note
saying, “Please arrest us.” Then, he gladly flew up thinking. They should be called Crook, Thief and Bandit
instead!
Claw was standing on top of the tall building looking across the magical city. He was cured. Ripper saved
him.
That night, Ripper invited his friends over to watch fireworks over the harbour. It was New Year’s Eve.
The five friends sat together. Claw, Dr. Slithererer, Croak, the cobra by the pond, (whose name was Ssshras)
and Ripper, the hero of the day. It was a truly exciting experience for them all.
