New Tales of the Pearl River Delta

am Nana .I am a teenager that was 15 years old now .My family are fish farmer .My father was good at
fishing and he always goes fishing with me .My mother was good at fishing too .They met on the river
that we fish on. After a few years, they got married on a pretty wooden boat that my father worked and
fished on it .Also ,my mother was good at cooking .She always cooked some dessert such as
cheesecake ,chocolate cake, mango cake, strawberry cake, jelly, pudding, chocolate cookies, colourful
macaroni etc. It was yummy, tasty and delicious. However, I was very lonely because my father always went
fishing because we eat fish for dinner every day and my mother needed to think about what to cook. She
needs to think about what to cook for breakfast, lunch and dinner .Besides, I did not have friends because I
lived on a wooden boat and I do not go to school so I cannot make friends.
One day ,I was bored so I jumped into the clear ,blue river to swim because swimming was one of my
hobby .Then ,I saw a rainbow coloured fish swimming .Wow !It is rainbow in colour .I thought it was
beautiful ,pretty ,lovely and colourful so I swam with this beautiful ,pretty ,lovely and colourful fish
happily .After that ,we become best friends .The fish’s’ name was Anan. I was so happy because I did not
have any friends before I met Anan.
After a few weeks ,the river became very dirty and had a lot of rubbish .Also ,the river became black in
colour .I said sadly, ’Oh no !The river was full of some oil from the factory and rubbish ,such as cola
cans ,old paper ,bottles ,plastic bags ,plastic bottles etc .It was polluted and my friend went away to the other
river so I was very sad and unhappy about it .Also ,all the fish swam away from this river .We will not have
fish to eat now .Then I sat on the beach and I felt something was hidden in the sand and it was under me.’
Oh! There is a treasure box. ’I said .It was a treasure box which was made of wood .I opened the wooden
treasure box and there was a treasure map inside .The top of the map said “clean the water that was
polluted” and it also said I needed to “climb onto Ice Cream hill and walk though the chocolate forest.”
Then ,I needed to swim across the lemon soda river and I needed to walk to the top of the cake house .I
went to these areas bravely and I reached the chocolate forest .I found that it was so funny that the tree was
made of sweet chocolate .I ate one and I lay down on the floor .
After a few minutes ,I woke up and I saw many fairies that in different costumes .They were flying
around me .One of them asked ,’Are you ok ?’ I stood up and replied “yes”. I think they are so caring of
others .Then they asked,’Why are you here? Where do you think you are going?’’ I am going to the Cake
House .I need to clean the water or my parents will be hungry because there are no any fish in the river.’I
said .’Let us go with you because we can help you if you are in need.’ they said. I believed them and they
went with me.
Then ,they told me that the people can see the fairies after they eat chocolate .After that ,I need to swam
across the lemon soda river .When I jump into it ,I was very uncomfortable because there were too many
bubbles in the lemon soda river . The fairies used their magic power and my clothes became dry and clean.
Also, I could fly in the air with them .I was gleeful.
Then ,I saw the Cake House was not far away from us .We ran towards it .We went inside and it was
very beautiful inside .There was a light which was made of crystal .Behind it ,there was a stair which is made
of gold ,silver and bronze .then ,we went upstairs .The stairs was very long .That why the Cake House was
so high .On the way ,we were very tired because of the stairs although doing that can keep fit .
At last, we arrived and I saw a large door in front of me .I pulled it with all the fairies because it is too
heavy.
After that, I saw a witch inside .She was very ugly, evil and terrible .Oh! What a horrible face, I
thought .She looked at me .I was very frightened because I saw some story book which said that the witch
was wicked and they killed people and I saw a book that about a red ballet shoes .The witch gave the shoes
to the girl and the girl wore it .She started to dance and she felt very happy because she did not know how
to dance and she did not have enough money to learn how to dance .Then, she danced day to night until
she died.
Then, she walked towards me .I was very scared but she said,’why do you go here?’ I was full of courage
and said bravely,’I want to get the thing from there to clean the river.’ Then she gave me and said to me
that I need to use it wisely.
