Fiction: Group 2
“Wei! Are you OK?”
“Yes, I am…”
“Wei! Oh, this city is so terrible because it is the city where one of my worst fears had taken place.
Let’s get out of this city-“
“No,” Wei found herself saying. “This city is beautiful. Mom, Dad, I know this wasn’t in our plan
but we can go to a restaurant that a kind person owns? I bet you will smile when you eat their food.”
“Sure, when will we go?”
“But Mom, I’m worried because we’re leaving tomorrow-“
“We’re leaving in the evening, so don’t worry…”
To Jane, her Shenzhen trip was her best trip in ten years.
The next day, they were back at Hong Kong. Wei asked, “Mom, Dad, I took more than fifteen
pictures. Let me count…there are thirty pictures.”
“Stop lying, Jane,” her parents said seriously, “if you keep lying, I will give you a punishment-“
“Why can’t you believe your own daughter? If you can’t believe me, count.”
Really, she took thirty pictures.
She got an album and a diary for herself to not forget her memories. And she liked it.
