The Best River in China

nce there was the king of China. He was choosing the best river in China. First he chose three
rivers. The rivers were the Pearl River Delta, Yellow River, and Yang Zi River. He couldn’t
choose, so he asked the soldiers. Almost all chose the Yellow River but the king like the Pearl
River Delta more than the Yellow. Then the king asked the slaves in the castle. But they were different than
the soldiers. They said, “We want what you want.”
So he chose the Pearl River Delta to be the best river in China.
One day, a boy named David came to the Pearl River Delta. He liked the Pearl River Delta. One
day he was so thirsty that he wanted to drink the Pearl River Delta’s water. Then, the water in the Pearl
River Delta turned to fresh water and he could drink. So he drank the Pearl River Delta’s water. Now he
wasn’t thirsty any more. They he wanted to give water to the Pearl River Delta. So he went got ocean
water from the ocean and poured the water in to the Pearl River. Then he was surprised that the salt water
changed to fresh water, same the Pearl River Delta’s water.
When David was about to die, he drank the Pearl River Delta and he said to his slaves to put the
Pearl River Delta’s water near him in a bowl and there will be a treasure in the bowl when he dies. When
he died, he lived happily with the Pearl River Delta in the sky.
After he died, the slaves were asking each other what the treasure might be. David had a son
named Kevin. So all the slaves asked Kevin what the treasure was. Kevin said, “Let’s go see what is in the
bowl.” They went there and they saw a beautiful rainbow coloured pearl inside the bowl. The pearl was
made out of the Pearl River Delta.
One day, all the Pearl River Delta’s water was dried up. So Kevin was so sad. After Kevin wanted
to see the pearl. So when he saw the pearl he always remembered the Pearl River Delta.
