five minutes!”, She said. “Um, okay!” Ella mumbled, “I’ll be here!”. Five minutes later, Riley came back
with nothing but her cell phone. “I thought you said that you wanted a snack.” Ella asked. “ Oh, ya! I
already, um, I mean, They didn’t have what I was looking f-for.” Riley stammered. “Riley, what’s going
on?” Ella asked suspiciously. “N-nothing! let’s keep going!”
When they got to the river, Ella quickly changed into her bathing suit, and dove into the water. “Go Ella!”
Riley yelled while clapping. Then secretly, when Ella wasn’t watching, she quickly took a picture of Ella
and sent it to all her contacts with; ‘Help! Come quick!’. Soon enough, everyone arrived, including Ella’s
parents. “Mom! Dad! what are you doing here?!” Ella said as soon as they arrived in their boat. “Ella! You
have to get out of this river right now! You are going to drown!” As soon as she heard these hurtful words,
she duck dove under water, and didn’t come back up for 3 minutes, and Ella’s parents started to worry.
“Cheryl, Ella hasn’t come up for 3…” Ella’s dad started to say, but Ella’s mom was already diving into the
river.
Derrr.. rooo..derrr..rooo!
The ambulance sounded. The last thing that Ella Blanchard saw before hitting her
head on the rock was the rippling reflection of her mother’s indigo blue eyes. “I-its gonna b-be okay
sweetie, y-your gonna be o-okay!” Ella’s mom wept, then buried her face in her husband’s shoulder. Ella
slowly opened her eyes, and ever so slightly, whispered “Mom?”
