Nature's Home

am a wolf. It’s dark, late at night, as I try to find shelter for the night. Darkness surrounds me. I am
scared and alone in this deserted place. My home, my family, my friends, all gone.
Creatures on two legs destroyed my life. I seek revenge, but I know it’s not right. I fear there are no
more animals in the country.
As I look around, I hear the creatures on two legs in the distance, saying: “We did a good job today.”
As I swell up with anger, I shouted: “YOU DID NOT DO A GOOD JOB TODAY! YOU
DESTROYED THE ANIMALS’ HOME!” But I knew there was no use saying it, because they would not
understand.
As I continue to emotionlessly look, I see a blinking light ahead. Thinking quickly, I ducked behind a
well. As my heart pumped fast, one million questions popped into my tiny head: Are these creatures on two
legs that destroyed my home? What do they want? I accidently stepped on a branch. “CRACK!” went the
branch! I froze as the creatures turned around. One said: “What was that?” The other said “Come on, we
men aren’t afraid of anything.”
As the men continued to stroll around, I answer some of my questions: the creatures were called men.
Suddenly, I was trapped! The men took me to a zoo. I saw my friends being cared by men. I smiled. Maybe
men weren’t so bad after all.
