Korean International School, Fife, Mckayla - 8, Fiction: Group 2
nce upon a time, there was a Chinese White Dolphin who was born in the Pearl River. She was
named Sanollie. One day, a shark came and captured Sanollie’s parents and her sister. Sanollie was
not caught because she was not at home at the time. Sanollie was sad and lonely with her parents
and sister. She did not know where the shark had taken them. So the next day, she decided to go in search
of them. She went into the dangerous ocean. On her way she met an octopus. She asked the octopus where
the shark lived. The octopus let out a scream and ran away as soon as the shark was mentioned. Sanollie
them met a giant squid and asked him the same question, and got the same reaction from the quid as she did
from the octopus.
When the squid ran away, Sanollie saw three sharks. They came near her and started moving in circles
around Sanollie. Sanollie was so scared that she started to feel dizzy. The three sharks kept moving in circles
around her, and then one shark jumped at her. Sanollie passed out. She began to sink into the deep ocean.
Suddenly a catfish came out of its hiding place and saved Sanollie. He took Sanollie to his home. The next
day when Sanollie woke up, she was surprised to find that she was in a strange place with the catfish looking
at her. She only remembered passing out. The catfish told her where the shark lived. Soon she said goodbye
to the catfish and was on her way to find her parents and sister.
Sanollie soon located the shark’s home. She was scared to go in, but she finally got courage and sneaked
inside the shark’s home. She saw her parents and sister surrounded by many shark guards. None of the sharks
had seen Sanollie. Sanollie hid in a place close by and waited until it was night. At night, all the guards were
sleeping. Sanollie sneaked in and told her parents and sister to come with her. Sanollie’s entire family
sneaked out of the shark’s home and escaped. On the way, a fisherman in a boat came along and caught
Sanollie in a fishing net. This scared Sanollie’s parents; but her sister got so angry that she turned red, and
steam came out from her ears. She jumped up and slapped the fisherman’s face really hard. The fisherman
dropped the net and Sanollie became free. The fisherman’s face had turned red. He got into the boat and
drove away as fast as he could. “NOW DON’T EVER TRY TO CATCH CHINESE WHITE
DOLPHINS!” shouted Sanollie’s sister angrily. From that day, Sanollie and her family lived happily ever
after.
