um! I’m going to school now! I’ll be back at five o’clock!” shouted a boy into the
kitchen. “Why? It’s so early now!” “Yeah mum, I really need to go!”
The boy ran down the street to an area beside the school, where he had started a huge building of Lego.
The building was made up of more than one thousand Lego bricks and had many different furniture inside.
This was Samuel, a ten year old boy.
Riiiiing….Riiiiing… A figure woke up and slammed its hand down on the alarm clock, which said:
7:00.”Time to get out of here.” he thought. He put on his jacket and rushed to the bank, where he
“worked”. Today was a big day for the figure.
The figure was an alien commander from Planet U. He had planned this seemingly normal day “Attack day”
a long time ago. The alien commander wanted to destroy earth with an invisible mind-controlling machine
that shoots rays at people. He had chosen Hong Kong, where Samuel lived, as a starting point of his global
conquering plan, because it was the centre of the Pearl River Delta, a group of the earth’s most densely
populated and fastest growing cities. The rays caused victims to only think about seven letters-
”D..e..s..t..r..o...y.” They would follow the person that “infected” them and walked like zombies in one big
bunch. In this way, the attack was spread.
At 7:30 in the morning, the alien commander sent a signal to his assistants in Planet U, a planet 99,999,999.9
miles away from Earth. The assistants had the machine, and were supposed to shoot the security of the bank
using the machine’s high-tech aiming and range.
When he was blasted by the ray, the security ran inside the bank, and started slapping two workers in the
front desk. The security then ran off to pick another target. The workers who got slapped became
“infected” by the “Destroy” thought, and immediately started walking like two zombies, and went on to
spread the “infection”.
Soon, the whole bank was “infected”.
After he sent the signal, the alien commander went and started watching his “infection” spread on his
computer. The band of “infected” humans was marked by constantly moving red dots.
When Samuel finished checking on his Lego tower, he went to school, where the familiar streets looked
very different. Everyone was walking closely together instead of minding their own business.
When they appeared in front of Samuel’s eyes, more than seven thousand people had been “infected”. All
the people were “infected”! But strangely, when they started patting Samuel’s back, he was not affected, nor
infected!
When Samuel rushed to his classroom after the zombie attack, he found that only three students were there.
They all happened to be in Samuel’s gang, who often got into trouble by breaking school rules. “This is
strange! Why only us? Let’s get to the bottom of this.” The kids decided to search about weird zombie-like
humans.
